In the last few lessons I have covered the critical aspects of what selling really means. I’ve spent the extra time so you can connect with this concept. I also said that you can’t plan and have direction until you’ve chosen what you want to sell and how/where  you want to sell it.

Also do you plan to sell a physical product or a digital (downloadable) one or even both?

What you need basics:

1. A good product that a lot of people are needing and looking for. If you can’t find such a product, you create one OR outsource it OR find an affiliate product. You could also use dropshipping.

2. A site (sales platform) to sell from, that these people can find. Usually blog, website, social media page. Could also be online store.

3. Traffic (visitors) targeted to what you’re selling. Any business needs customers and you want the ones with money to spend.

4. A way to convert these visitors to subscribers, add them to your list and turn them into buyers. These buyers might purchase some of your other products (backend sales) or maybe give you repeat sales of the first product. Desirable to have a sales funnel setup.

So traffic>visitors>subscribers>buyers/customers.

It’s logical that the next lessons should be about how to actually make all the above happen in the cheapest, easiest and fastest way.

So here we are today with the topic “How or where do we find good products that people need and want to buy”.

Now this is actually a huge topic which I could write a book about (maybe I should) but right at this moment I’m giving you a blog post with pointers for you to work with. It’s up to you to take action and build on these. I can only fit so much in a blog article.

5. Let’s start with “what should you sell?” and you take over from there. To help you I have listed some good niches which will lead you into a type of product. Sometimes the niche will equal the product type….jewelry is an example.

jewelry………watches……….ladie’s fashion clothing……..fashion accessories………..sunglasses……..bags, wallets & purses. weight loss……fitness……muscle & strength building……food & nutrition…..cooking recipes…..kitchen supplies….wine…..beer…..lifestyle….outdoors

camping…..fishing…..golf……sport…..hiking……computers &  Internet…..domains & web hosting…..websites….blogging…..social media…..Apple accessories & apps……mobile & smartphones apps &

accessories…..electronics & gadgets….GPS…..general health….sexual health….natural health….alternative medicine…..beauty products….skin care…anti-aging

cancer…diabetes….cholesterol….blood pressure….pregnancy & maternity….baby & toddlers…child clothing…used clothing

Just be aware the above list is not complete and is intended as a guide.

IMPORTANT:

Try to be different to everyone else. You want to stand out from the crowd.

Don’t promote the same product as a “million” other people/affiliates.

Don’t try to compete with the “big guns”. You don’t have their skills, money, resources and huge mailing lists.

Don’t work your butt off for peanuts. Make sure you will get a fair $$$ reward for your time and hard work.

Make sure you look for my blog posts and emails. We’re moving into getting your site to sell from. This includes online stores and dropshipping.

We’re also starting to explore what affiliate marketing really is…not what you’ve been told. I will show you where you can find thousands of products.

KEYWORDS:

Keywords are words or phrases that are search terms on the Internet. They represent what people are searching for. As you become more familiar with people’s needs, you will learn what are good niches and products to sell that people want.

Do a search for “keyword tools” across several search engines. Google did have an excellent one for general use but now it’s been pushed over to Google AdWords.

Bing does have one but it’s part of Webmaster Tools. These are free to join.

These tools are a good guide to how many monthly searches there are for the most common keywords like “weight loss”.

Cheers,
Kevin
